The Moon-sighting Sub-committee wishes to inform the community that the crescent moon has been sighted in many cities in North America on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Therefore, the 1st Day of Mahe Muharram, 1448 AH is established as TUESDAY, JUNE 16, 2026.

Important Dates of the Month:

10th (Thu - Jun 25) - ASHURA DAY - Martyrdom of Imam Husayn [as] & Shuhada-e-Karbala - 61 AH;
20th (Sun - Jul 05) - Tenth of Shuhada-e-Karbala;
25th (Fri - Jul 10) - Shahadat Imam Ali Zaynul Abedeen [as] - 95 AH;
30th (Wed - Jul 15) - Twentieth of Shuhada-e-Karbala;

Other Important Dates:

17th (Jul 02) - Abraha attacked Holy Ka'aba in Amul Feel - 53 BH;
18th (Jul 03) - Quibla changed from Baytul Moqaddas to Ka'aba - 2 AH;
